The Santa Maria Elks Lodge #1538 will once again sponsor the breakfast by providing and preparing pancakes, sausages, juice and coffee in support of Allan Hancock College scholarships and programs.  The breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m.  Tickets are $3 each and are available in advance at the foundation office located at 936 S. College Drive, directly adjacent to the west entrance of the college.
The breakfast is taking place in conjunction with the sixth annual Santa Barbara Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk at Allan Hancock College.  Memory Walk participants will also attend the pancake breakfast before commencing their campus tour at 9:15 a.m.  However, Allan Hancock College Foundation Executive Director Deborah Peterson emphasized that the general public is invited and encouraged to attend the breakfast, regardless of their participation in the Memory Walk
“We are pleased to be teaming up with the Elks Lodge again this year to provide the pancake breakfast to benefit not only the college’s scholarships and programs, but also to partner with the Alzheimer's Association to deliver a breakfast to their walkers,” Peterson said.  “Through this event, the Santa Maria Elks Lodge #1538 is supporting two nonprofit groups, Allan Hancock College and the Santa Barbara Alzheimer's Association.”

The Allan Hancock College Foundation is the focus of community support for Allan Hancock College student and faculty.  “Its primary purposes,” Peterson said,” are to operate for the advancement of education, to solicit and raise money for scholarships, to assist students to pursue an education beyond high school, and to support the special needs of Allan Hancock College.
